I saw this posted by Tblack from x7og.net and I'll try to update ASAP
Camp Blanding MOUT site in Starke, FL is forever closed to Paintball.
Apparently Joe Moffo of NAWL (North America Woodsball League)/SXP (Southern Xtreme Paintball) took it upon himself to disrespect Blanding and their rules. He said "I don't have to use approved paint" and proceeded out of his own greed and selfishness to use his own paint. One that had an orange fill. Apparently not only was this was not approved paint. But its consistency didn't allow them to adequately clean up the MOUT site because of it.
Because of this Joe Whatchamacallits ignorant, self important, I don't have to listen to no body, I want to do what I want, greedy individual. Paintball has been robbed of one of the greatest places to play and one of the few MOUT sites that was left. I hope he is proud of himself.
I would like everyone who knows Joe Moffo to let him know how much you appreciate what he has done for us. I would also like everyone that has a thought about this to forward that to this selfish individual.
This is not a joke. I wish it was. But Blanding is now closed to paintball....If anyone knows this guys email or a way to contact it. I hope you will share.

And we care why? Sorry, no offense, but this is a team forum. A team based in West Virginia and southwest PA. Odds of any of us playing at a field in Florida: slim.
Plus I heard this was a hoax.

It sounds like it is a hoax. I had thought of going down there to play at least once..it would be cool to finnaly play in a designated CQB site.

For CQB, we need to go to Canada for a weekend. But yeah, Blanding being closed is really no skin off my back. Oh well. |

Sucks for people in that area if this is indeed true. I talked to Tblack at Fulda and he seemed like a straight shooter.....dunno why he would spread a rumor like this around if not true.

Because the promoter decided to throw the paint regs out the window, the United States Army was not too happy and this ruined it for all of us.

Ahh so the promoter of the event that was renting the field decided to not sell approved paint to everyone playing there. He took it upon himself to sell cheap orange filled paint to everyone playing at the event to increase profit for himself.

The Army had paintballs that were already approved to be used there because the area is also used by the troops to train for operations in places like Iraq or other urban areas.

This is off topic and im sorry to interrupt the convo. but Jackson, I know you said "no offense" but please keep your rude thought to yourself. . . if you dont have anything constructive to say dont say anything. sure you may consider it a hoax but dont open up with "and we care why?".If you dont care about the matter, then keep your mouth shut. Its rude to pop in someone elses thread and post something like that. you may not care and he may not care, he may just want to inform people of the situation. So again if you dont have anything nice to say then please dont post up in the first place.

Both you guys have valid points. Just end it at that. This is the General Paintball Discussion forum, so Bigboss put this thread in the right spot, it could have also went in Paintball news. He was just informing us of whats going on at a very big name Paintball field.
