3 Piece and a Biscuit!

So heres the start. Keep in mind the stock and parts on the Mag shown here are from my actual M1..so Im not hacking into these lol. I should have my other M1 parts..at least part of them by early next week (stock handguard and front sight) I also am going to get a simple barrel..probably a J&J 14 inch. I need the barrel to be cheap and the right shape so I can put the front sight on it. I was originally going to get a Raptor tactical barrel from RAP4..but its 18 inches and I dont need 18 now. The UL in the pic is just sitting in there, I dont have the twist lock adapter yet. Should be here tomorrow I imagine. Im assuming thats going to be the right length for the barrel..but we'll see. As you can see its going to need extensive modification to the stock..a lot of sanding to get the body down all the way. The trigger is going to be the hardest part. You'll notice the trigger assembly is out ..its going to require a ton of modification too. I want that in there for the mag to fit right. Im just going to have to take it slow when I get to that part..a full trigger assembly is $110. Id love to find a way to link the actual M1 trigger with the mag sear. We'll see. The idea to put the mag so far down in the body is to someone rig a rear sight on it..but I dunno if that'll work. Im not too keen on the cross feed body..but it'll work for now. That and it needs to sit far down so the hand guard can sit flush with the stock.

Send it my way. Maybe at Stalingrad I can pick it up from you to do that trigger modification.

That will be awesome whenit gets done. The triggers are always hard to get right when people thrown them in a stock. Seem like you allways have to cut the stock out for the trigger instead of putting the trigger when it should go?

This ones going to be a challange. Jackson, do you think I should buy the trigger assembly with the actual M1 trigger, or should I get one that doesnt have the trigger so you can make one?

Oh, you have that mocked up with the M1A1 you already own...
Uh, I'd need to see the trigger. But I'm leaning towards me needing to make one.

Ok..that'll actually save me a bit of money, The full trigger assembly is $108, I think the one without all the springs and the trigger is $70.

I is awesome. Got some aluminum to build you a trigger. Can you bring it to Stalingrad? I'll try to work on it between then and Korea.
