I tried an E-trigger once and I had problems with it. I hated the way I had to program it and it was time consumeing and stressful for me. I was thinking about how to address this issue and I looked at my iPod and I was inspired. If a program could be written to be used on the iPod or computer and you can plug a markers E-trigger into either the computer or iPod to set your rates of fire. I think something like this would revolutionize the sport and the way we play.
What are your opinions?

Some high end boards let you do that. Heck, even the Emag Board could be rewritten, and the Emag is over 10 years old. I dont mess with Egrips...least of all Tippmann Egrips. Too much hassle.

The best Tippmann EGrip is the APE. Its amazing. Its a little easier to program than the WAS.

The issue is what if you need to change your board settings at the field? If you rely on a PC, you are SOL unless you lug your laptop and risk it getting damaged or stolen. It just makes more sense to use dip switches or trigger pulls or some other system, sell-contained on the board. Read the manual, get to understand the grip, and you shouldn't have any issues.

It's just a learning curve. Not really that big of a deal.

Yeah...its a hassle at first but if you do it enough, all those programming codes become embedded in your memory lol

By far the easiest board to use and program in my opinion (other than the APE because its all on a grip panel) would be the tadao boards. I have one in my mini and it is by far the easiest to read and understand and so simple to use.

You wouldan't need to rely on a computer if you have the program change codes on something that's as common as an iPod or even a cell phone can have an appt for it. It all depends on the prospective of the player and what they feel comfterble about useing.
