I in no way condone racial prejudice nor any kind of hatred of other ethnic groups ect. I was more or less raised with a bit of the biker culture because of my late father and he wore a rebel flag bandanna and That's another reason why I wear it under my helmet and mask. I've also seen the rebel flag (dixe flag) on masks and other peices of gear and what not and I was wondering your opinions about this issue and I also appoligize in advance if this affends anyone.

Opponents say it's racist because the South stood for slavery.  Supporters say it stands for state rights.  The truth lies somewhere in the middle.  It can be a racist symbol.  It does stand for the South which supported slavery, but it's not the only thing they stood for.

I don't condone flying it, I never would.  But at the same time it doesn't terribly bother me.

Growing up in New England I was bread to dislike this flag and anyone who fly’s it, especially when flown above the U.S. Flag.  I have grown more tolerant of it over the years, but in my opinion it stands for things that I don’t.  However I feel bad for the memory of the confederacy because in most cases those that fly it today represent nothing that it originally did.

Bigboss - I intend no disrespect to you, you sound like a good guy.  I don't know you, but i am sure you have a better reason for using it then the ones I speak of.

As I said the rebel flag is also used by bikers because they are rebelling from scocial norms and all that. I know this because my late father wasn't racist, he was a biker.
