This sniper talk has been going on long before the FS was even out probably even thought of. The same people said the same things then they are saying now. FS does add range/accuracy yes, and yes it helps a bit, but 9/10 people saying snipers are real and they are one don't use it. FS is far to expensive for the common person to buy and heck even to get a gun that can shoot it. You also have the problem of fields letting you use it. Then you have the problem Hudd said, people hide and take cover a lot as they are expecting a fire fight. I don't stand in the open to much and even if you catch me in the open, I bet there is some trees/bushes/weeds/something between me and you. If that FS round touches it more than likely it will break and if it doesn't it's direction will change slightly and it will miss or be slowed down enough that it won't break if it does hit me. FS doesn't add to much advantage in woodsball situations as you can't shoot through foilage/cover like a real round can. In an open parking lot yea it would help a lot or maybe if you catch a dummy walking right down the center of a path not watching at all. Chances are you're going to get him anyways tough, FS or not.

Even with first strick rounds I say no. Usually paintball players dont stand out in the open so they are usually in a bunker or some kind so the likely hood of you hitting some one @ 300 feet whos pack is sticking out 2 inch is pretty slim. And it may be diffrent where you play but here in WV/PA the woods are to thick to have a clear shot at some one at that range.

Agreed.  Part of being a real military sniper is sneaking into areas that the enemy thinks you can't even get to.  Hitting them when they have no idea that anyone is out there, when their guard is down.  That just doesn't happen in a paintball game.  Even an all-day scenario game, the generals and any important people sit in netted areas at 99% of games.  You aren't getting a shot on them.  I'd like to see you crawl all day through the woods to take a single shot on some Joe Nobody at a scenario game that means nothing.  Congratulations, you just wasted all day doing virtually nothing for your team.  And even if you get way behind enemy lines, people are still going to have their guard up because they are still on the field in a combat zone.

And our woods are far too thick.  Normal max paintball range is a little more than you can expect to clearly shoot around here.  First strike isn't helping you much.

But again I say: What is wrong with playing?  Why do you need a title?  Answer me that.

Hahaha. I agree though, let's all just be paintballers and shoot at each other however we feel most comfortable.
