The point of the 15 foot rule, at least at TRP walk on days, is there to keep regular speedballers from dumping a pod of paint on someone's back from 5 feet away. They want you to as much as possiable to stay 15 feet away from the other team. If you choose to get closer then you do it at your own risk. If you knowingly get closer than 15 feet to someone, then you can't shoot them, you have to barrel tag them. If they hear you coming and out of reflex turn and hit you then it's your fault. They didn't move in on you. If you want to shoot stay back, if you want to move in you have to barrel tag. Atleast that's what I take the 15 foot rule to mean.

I just try to play with common sense. Don't bunker a little kid or a guy with a rental but G3 boy might get it if he is playing agresivly. I dont konw if its a rule or not at TRP but I hate where you can run up to a bunker and yell surender and there automaticly out, The 15 foot rule is a good IDEA but when your actually playing it never gets followed. I also think if you dump a pod of paint on me from 5 feet behind me im going to punch you in to mouth. I don't care to get shot but shooting some one 10+ times is ridiculous.

yea if the 15 foot rule worked perfect it would be awesome, but it is never done right. I too also play with common sense. If I come up on someone and I have to shoot I will try to put one round on their pod pack or something like that. You will always have idiots though that have 22 balls come out of their gun every time they brush their trigger and can't single ball someone even if they wanted to.
