GRADUATION LUXE?

Well it started off a good day. A well deserved graduation present or maybe not?
Look at the pictures and you will see something not quite right here.
Yup, water damage. Case and all its contents at some point in its life met its dimise with water.  
Jon, wanted me to see if everything on the gun worked right or not.
The bolt was pretty hard to get out, so I needed little help from old Mr. Barrel swab. The tolerances on these guns are crazy!  After cleaning off all the old lube and relubing it, the bolt was easy to take in and out. The battery charged fine, voice worked ok, it shot a pod like a laser beam, but.....................
I noticed that after the hopper was empty, it would still shoot, this shouldnt be happening with the eyes on I thought.
After checking the eyes, I noticed that there was corrosion around the one eye. Yes corrosion, not paint, it never chopped. Upon further inspection of the luxe, the screws on the solenoid were rusted as well. So, I called Jon from CP, sent him these pics and well, long story short, its going back tomorrow and Im getting a refund.

So now the hunt is on to find another bnib luxe.

That sucks. I know how long you have been wanting a lux. So with SP going under are they hard to find?

Well, there not really hard to find as there are used ones everywhere. DLX is the one doing all the repairs, service, and warranty work on them. ANS gear has 3 of them but they werent a limited color run like this one. There red with either black, white, or blue.
I might be going to pitsburgh paintball complex to take a look at a very mint used one for obviously cheaper, but....we'll see.
If i do get a bnib one it will be prob the red and black from ans gear.

I was,  but I guess it just wasnt meant to be with this one and Im getting my refund so that is always good as well.  Add'd couple more pics.

Is the L on the case faded off? How could they have not known it was damaged? 1500 dollar gun needs to be away from water big time lol.

no its just the lighting, its there. i dont think they really opened it up and checked it, they just snatched it up and put it in a box and shipped it out.
i might drive 4 hrs to go get this one....he said he would drive 2 hrs, to cut some time off my trip.
