Yeah, 30-40 isn't too bad. I could replace it after every event and never have issues. But in the long run it's cheaper to get an o-ring that basically never needs to be replaced.

I know what Big Boss is saying. The Thumper is breach loaded but the hinge is farther forward of the breach so the tube sort of pops up at the breach. Like this:
