Hey guys, you might now a little bit about this. Im looking into getting a mic or a throat mic for my walkie talkie. I have 3 walkie talkies pretty much standard ones from radio shack. What would work and whats worth the money?

OpsGear has some awesome Throat Mics which is the way you wanna go if you want the Most for your Mil-Sim, but also the best in low profile tech for your recon and sniper based positions. But get ready to pull the wallet, because they are a little hefty on the price.

Standard microphones as easy to use, have been working for our military for years now, and work good for the person who just wants something cheap and effective. Just make sure it doesn't fall out from your ear.

Over all, make sure you know that the piece works for the mic, because I've seen that scenario and it didn't make me happy at all haha.

I got a boom mic tied to my mask and I will say that it's suited my needs very well and they are cheap. You may be able to fin ones that will work for your particular brand and model on ebay.
