One of the barrel kits I used in the 2008 season really got my attention. I am talking about a
J&J Edge Elite barrel kit for my A5. This is the first time I have ever used a barrel system incorporating fronts and backs and I was quite impressed. The ability to match the paintballs diameter depending on temperature, humidity and quality to the equal size back and choose from the 3 different size fronts depending on the type of mission we were embarking on gave me exceptional accuracy and maneuverability all day.
The J&J Edge Elite barrel kit has 5 bore sizes to best match your paint, they are .682, .685, .688, .691 & .693, and 3 fronts completing the length at 10ā, 12ā & 14ā all wrapped up in a nice carrying case.
I used this kit on my A5A2 but they are also made for other popular thread types. As soon as I learned how to match the paint to the back I immediately noticed an improvement in consistency and range and a reduction I barrel breaks. If you do have a break the barrels are extremely easy to clean on and off the field. J&Jās ceramic coating makes it easy to just shoot your way out of breaks during a mission and give a thorough cleaning when the day is over.
This kit cost me about $90.00 on eBay and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a versatile and effective barrel Kit.
