My review of AAPP based on many times playing there over the past 4 years.
Pro shop - If you need it, they have it. This is by far the most extensive proshop I've ever seen at a field - it's also the nicest. Granted, it's mostly stocked with Smart Parts gear and markers, but they own the place. They also fully service Smart Parts products. You can find everything form packs and clothing to markers and upgrades here.
Versatility and fields- AAPP is pretty much speedball only, sorry woodsballers. They do, however, every now and again open up all of the inddor fields for what they call 'Full Field Friday'. It's kind of like a hybrid field. Too big to be considered speedball but with all airball bunkers. They have very nice indoor fields(more details below) and also several outdoor speedball fields.
Price - AAPP is actually VERY reasonably priced in terms of Admission, Paint, and even rentals. See below.
Rentals:

Paint:

Admission:
Thursday Night - Team night:
You do not have to be on a team to participate. Individuals without teams will be assigned to one. Outside paint is permitted, however it must be white fill paint ONLY, and be approved by the session referee. Admission is $20 for those who bring their own paint. Admission is $10 for those who purchase 2000 paintballs. Both prices include unlimited air fills.
Friday Night - Open night:
Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate. You may bring your own equipment, but outside paint is prohibited. All rental packages include admission fees.
NOTE: right now for an unspecified period of time Friday night admission is FREE
Saturday and Sunday - Open Play sessions:
Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate. You may bring your own equipment, but outside paint is prohibited. All rental packages include admission fees. Admission is $20 for those who bring their own equipment, including unlimited air fills.
Reffing - As far as field averages go they have an okay reffing staff. They aren't all over the field as I prefer, but they are vocal at calling what they see - I just think they'd see more if they were more mobile. I noticed twice in one night they called game when there was one member of the opposing team left that they didn't 'see'. Guess they didn't think to count the guys in the deadbox either.
Player accomodation/anemities - The facility is great. There are bathrooms, the entire place is enclosed so the elements aren't an issue and it's heated. There are mulitple vending machines, spectator bleachers, and even a small cafe. You'd be hard pressed to field a field with features this nice. You can ever rent group time and they have partner accomodations to save cash on lodging and food with local businesses.
Safety - The fields are very clean and the fake grass is nice and thick for sliding without having to fear for your knees. My one gripe is that they rarely check markers at the chrono station. I know not once was I asked to chrono for a ref or checked before a game. If they didn't check me, I'm pretty sure they didn't check some otehrs as well. Otherwise A+.
All in all? Great field to play at. Suprising prices and nice clean fields are always good in my book. Although I prefer woodsball, this is a great way to keep the rust off in the winter.
