I would be interesting to try, since the FS round is more "bullet" shaped.

Apparently it causes the FS round to start spinning IN the barrel, and not just after it exits.  There's a brief review/comparison here:

I'm not a milsimmer by any means, but I enjoyed the Tac8 I had years ago... Felt like a mag.  Smiley  If TRP were to ever allow FS rounds, I'd probably pick up a rig for them.

I might pick up one of these to test. Im not a ballistics expert by any means, but if you look at it in perspective, it makes sense. The grooves in the back of the FS round would interact with the rifling, causing the spin to take effect.
