I've been wanting to do this project for a good wile now. I've seen a lot of ACR looking markers out their and reading up on it and it's capabilities. Working on my paintbrush apt. and http://pimpmygun.doctornoob.com/app.php I came up with a general idea of this project. I'm still looking around for the stock yet my only peeve is that it's not Lefty friendly.

Working on paintbrush, I know this is the crudest thing I've done. lol The picture posted is just the concept using the above link and the paintbrush to draw in the ASA line and hopper.

Thoughts?

Kinda looks like a SCAR. Id get the Magpul shroud and mod it to the X7 as well as a Magpul magazine (unless you like the stock mag)

Yeah it could pass for either IMO. The SCAR uses a 7.62mm and the ACR uses the 5.56mm (wich you have on) so it looks a little more like the ACR. But the shroud looks like a SCAR

The shroud in the pic was for the HK416. At this point, my X7 can pass for eithe of the 3 (ACR, SCAR, HK416).

I really like the ACR bit because of it's stock and I feel, from an artistic stand point, that it's good. It just seems that the classic X7 embodies a lot of the same traits of the ACR in that respect.

My extended front shroud dose look a bit like the ACR's and I just really need the Magpul sights and the ACR stock. I will be looking into finding one that is leffty friendly with a sling point. On the mag as Enhander mentioned, I'm more comfterble with the stock mag and at this time, I really don't see the need to change it. The current ACR can use any 5.56x45 NATO mag that can be used in the M16/M4. It's also a way to save money in that respect.

Now you see what I'm aiming for. I can get the parts redily with in a few months because of side projects and bills. Yet I still need to find that ACR stock that folds to the left with a sling mount on it.

I can find most of the parts cheaper on ebay. My only problem is that they don't have an ACR stock that's Lefty friendly.

Oh actually it doesnt matter for the mag lol. The SCAR-L uses 5.56 and the SCAR-H uses a 7.62. So I agree with Enhander on the new mag, you usually see ACRs with the fancier mags

I know yet, finding a newer magazine or modding one will be difficult. In my case, it's either money or time issues.
