Over the years on forums, I've seen differing views on the game and what not. From my prospective, It's what we see in the industry, the fields we play on and the rules that govern those fields and so much more that alter a persons prospective on the game. Plus the people we meet their, and the game we play have an impact.

Example: If you got hosed down by a player that has a full auto marker, the player that was shot up may not like those markers because of that.

We as a community need to see the industry for what is is. Yes their will be that one piece of gear that not everyone will like. The concept is that we all play a sport we love and the places we play at are as different as the players who play. Can't we all just get along?

Not to be a burden. But I dont see how any of this has to do with players changing?

I have been quiet for long enough, so I am going to chime in here with my .02 and then some.

First off, your example is absolutely ludicrous.  I have never, EVER, heard of a player not liking a manufacturer or marker because someone else overshot them with it.  That makes no sense, whatsoever.  That would be like saying the employees at the McDonalds a person visits every day of the week are the reason that he got fat.  Who in their right mind would blame a marker and manufacturer for an incident that was caused by someone else, it wasn't the markers fault that someone decided to pull the trigger 10 times at point blank range?

Secondly, "how we change as players," what does that even mean?  I don't feel like many players change at all, especially when you're saying that they change based on the industry.  Again, not true.  A player who loves to play tourney ball and is extremely competitive isn't going to change because company X comes out with an awesome milsim marker, he is going to wait til company Y comes out with the next release of their tourney marker.  Regardless, anyone who has been around long enough (you should know this, since you said you have been around for a long time) has their own niche and they are happy there.  Yes, some people will pass judgement and expect everyone to do everything a certain way, but that is minority of players.  I know plenty of people that get along with everyone, and have their own opinions of the game, and will play tourney and woodsball and scenarios and not think a thing of it.

Finally, this article is irrelevant.  If you saw the game as a whole, you would understand that there was no reason to post this topic in the first place because, guess what, most people in the community support the game as a whole!  Maybe you should re-evaluate your standing as player and supporter of the game and really think about this post, because it seems to me you are singling out a group here and that you're putting yourself in that minority.  Think about your topics before you post them, there is no need to clutter up a board like this.
