To be honest, I don't make a lot of money and can rarely afford to hit my local surplus. I do however find the time to check out places like a Good will and find some interesting stuff. I managed to get my hands on some Air Force issue ABU. These are a digitized tiger stripe pattern. The color scheme is similar to the Army's ACU's. Yet they aren't really liked by AFSOC (Air Force Special Operations Command).

Back on the subject, I take a peek at thrift stores because I can at times find cammo and surplus stuff their for cheap then having to pay full price. It's pretty worth it. I managed to get a pair or two of boots and even a few things here and their. I know some may say that I'm cheap for it. Yet, the idea is to save money that can be used for other things.

I sometimes check stores like that. I found a really nice pair of Bates Military boots at our local Gabes for $25. The original price was $250 Cheesy Gabes really doesnt count though, cause I buy most of my clothes from there. Gabes has awesome prices on baller clothing Tongue

While I don't usually go hunting for PB clothing, I have scored a few excellent marker deals on ebay and craigslist that I flipped for quick profit.  It can take a little wading, because these are generally the items labeled poorly or incorrectly, but it's well worth it.

For me it's necessity due to money and yet you do tend to find a few good things in the milsim category lol

Just saying that I found a lot of camo at those places. If I don't use it for paintball, then I tend to collect them as conversation pieces or something to use in video stuff.

Also depends on were you look too. I had good luck so far with thrift stores yet their have been times were I had to fix stuff or mod something to make it work. I'm hoping I can find an HD cam or something like that. But that's part of the fun because you don't know what your going to find lol Tongue

If you want actual paintball gear check out all teh online stores around Christmas/New Year. They usually blow out last years models to make room for all the new gear.

I play Mil-Sim. Camo is a must lol. Hence I can find it at thrift stores for lower prices and it beats getting it at a surplus store because more offten then not, you will be buying the commercial versions made in like China or some place. Thrift stores you got better chances of getting your hands on the genuine issue.

Silly camo...

Anyways, I didn't think to mention it before, but I just started a deal-finder thread on the RB forums last week (link), not that I'm able to update it as often as I like.  We have plenty of players affected by the economy, too, so it seemed like a good idea to try to help them out in some small way by spotting deals that could allow them to save some money on the gear they'll need to play again.
