I had this idea for the past few days. The idea is to have a TPX shoot First Strike rounds and up it's potency of range and accuracy. The main idea on the table is to modify the magazine to accept the First Strike rounds. In theory, that should be able to shoot them. Otherwise I'd have to mod the pistols internals for it.

Any ideas?

Agent Smith on www.mcarterbrown.com converted one of his TPXs to shoot first strike rounds.  Like you said, there are two things that need to be done to allow it to.  1. Modify the breach opening. 2. Modify the magazines.  The breach is the easy part.  You just need to dremmel out the opening to fit the D shape of the FSRs.  The magazine is more tricky.  Again, you have to modify them to accept the D shape of the FSRs.  Without having a TPX mag in front of me, I'm not sure how easy this would be.  There might not be enough material in the magazine to do this.  Though some creative use of some sort of epoxy or the like may get you around this.

Definitely a cool mod project.  But in the end is it worth it considering you can pick up a brand new T8.1 that is first strike ready right out of the box for LESS than the TPX?  I say no.

It would be an interesting project for sure. Now having experienced shooting FS rounds, Id love to fire them out of all my markers lol. But, as Jackson stated, you can pick up a T8.1 FS Ready for less than a TPX. Quite frankly, the T8.1 has a far better internal system than the TPX. Grip is a bit big, but that's manageable.

I would like to try some first strike rounds out. I just cant see them being useful unless its an urban setting with no trees over hanging. It would be sweet to have an 8.1 loaded up with them for those long shots that you cant get in the position to take with a regular paintball.
