Hi all,
So I'm looking for some ideas for what to have Dale do next. I have a couple 'cocker candidates for restoration.

Here's where I'm at with brainstorming so far...

I generally prefer to use a DW Fibur rather than having matching barrels (or tips) on all of my guns, so I think that eliminates the three color reverse fade splash... I wouldn't want to scrunch it all up on the body. Also: I prefer color combos to include black, so it'll match the DW and the other black bits I'll have on the gun (Hogue grips, tank, hopper, ASA, heat-shrink SS hose, etc.). Two color reverse fade splashes are a viable option. I was also thinking of an acidwash splash on a solid color background... Ooh, or maybe a many-color fade splash on a solid background, like a black. Could do red-orange-yellow-green-blue, or something. Thunderstruck!

What else?

If the R7s ever get finished and I get one of those proposed duck slide/box gun kits he has planned, I am going to have Dale do the slide.  No ideas what pattern.  I'm not creative enough to visualize them. Sad

Hmm. That is a good question as I am also wanting to get my cocker ano'd lol. I was thinking of having the yellow be the base color (because it looks like a gold almost in his pics) and then having a green bloodsplatter effect. But I also like the design with the lines going everywhere through it, I believe you have a blue, blac, and white color scheme that is the same as what I'm talking about. If I go that route I would have yellow base with red and green lines through it.

I think you're talking about splash anodizing.  I have a BPS Twister with a black base and a red and clear splash and a very early Fulcrum with a black base and a clear splash...  That's the direction I'm very much leaning towards for the project gun or two I want to restore.  It may be repetitive for my collection, but I like a black base with a splash on top.  If I went with a two-color splash, I'd do green/yellow or blue/clear, I think.  Other top contenders are a single splash that fades or is an acidwash (red/yellow would look sweet, i think).
