I can has automagz?

« on: July 08, 2008, 08:01:28 PM »

I've been holding of on posting this because I didn't have the BoB jersey in hand to compare quality with my old CSG jersey...now that I do...

I've had a lot of jerseys over the years from mainstream generic prints from JT and Paintball Junkies to the custom team jerseys from Animal and CSG.  CSG is by far my favorite.  I'm not just saying that because it's who we went with for our 08 team jerseys either.

My old CSG jersey was made in '05 and I've played in it at least 30-40 times.  It's been washed at least 20 times and to this day doesn't have a tear or faded print.  There are a couple small burrs from where my velcro pack stuck to it over the years but they are so small and I had to really go over the jersey to even see them.  Considering the abuse I've put the thing through, I'm more than impressed.

Price...I'm a pretty firm believer in that you get what you pay for.  While these are on the pricey end ($75) they are top notch.  The graphics look great and in a side by side comparison it appears that they are still using the same quality materials they were in 2005, which is a GOOD thing.  I'd ratehr pay a little more for a jersey that will last me 5+ years as opposed to a slightly less expensive jersey that will show considerable wear after just one season.

The design...I think they did a bang up job, and it's definitely a step up from my old CSG jersey.  They definately improved in the in house graphics depatment, and it wasn't bad to begin with.  Very sharp looking.

Quality...I know I said it before, but I'm 100% serious when I say that it's the toughest jersey I own.  The colors don't run or fade in the wash, and although it's a heavier material than Animals, they have a nice mesh ventilation strip under the arms and down the sides of the torso(I did notice that the width of the ventilation mesh is about an inch LESS than on my older csg jersey, time will tell if it affects the breathing)

My only gripe is that XL is EXTREMELY XL.  It damn near goes down to my knees.  It's not too wide and the sleeves are perfect, it's just really LONG.  I based the size off my old jersey, which fits perfect and is also an XL.

All in all?  So far so good.  Looks awesome and is very comfy.  I cannot wait to spend a day with it for a full scenario but from my past experience with this product, you can't go wrong, its absolutely money well spent.

Thanks, I do too.  They look a lot better in person, my camera just doesn't do it justice.
