So besides looks and upgrades.
How does the efficiency of the X7 differ from a A5? I was thinking that the efficiency on an X7 may be a bit better than the A5. May get a few more shots per tank, and the cyclone is a little better. but the A5 with a Q.E.V. and squishy paddles or jet click mod could help? ideas? since I am without a mech now I am in the market for an x7 or a5. I was thinking another A-5A2 or X7 X36 or UMP.

After using an X7 I dunno if I could go back to an A5, but that's just me....I like to have the latest and greatest toys. Performance wise they will be about identical fully upgraded. Out of the box I'd say the X7 wins.
What wins the X7 over for me is all the rails that come stock, external selector switch, and the fact that it can be what ever you want it to be without much work. So I'd say if you want Milsim go X7. If you want a nice comfortable and reliable gun with out all the bells and whisltes go with the A5A2.

Found one here. http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2966564I would switch out the flatline and get a X36 front or something. Not a fan of the response trigger though . . . If you guys could keep your eyes out for one that is X36 UMP or MP5SD I would appreciate it.

Are you signed up on the X7og.net? Might be worth a try to look there. Also, the RT works very nicely once you tune it correctly. My A5 seriously rips with the RT on it.

It basically is semi, it is just resetting the trigger for you instead of you having to let go of the trigger. You get the rapid fire when you find that sweet spot that just pulls the trigger again as it is reset into your finger. (Someone can correct me if Im wrong, but this seems to be my understanding of the RT system)
You can tune the rate at which it fires by adjusting the airflow. It can be real fast or you can slow it way down. Its a pretty good system though once you get the hang of tuning and using it.

I know TRP will let you use RT there as long as you don't go nuts on the RT effect. It is essencially semi as long as you don't use the sweet spot. You just use extra air to help rest the trigger faster. RT on an X7 is even better than it is on the A5.

Dean, if we all get together to play, I'll bring my RT'd A5 and you can try it out. See if you like it/ can get the sweet spot to work for you.

Now, as opposite of Lee, Id choose an A5. Ive noticed the A5 gets more shots than an X7...that could just be me...but thats what it seems like. Steves X7 only got 500 shots off a 48/3000 whereas my A5 got roughly 750-800.

Thats what I'm looking for is efficiency. I can't really remember which got more shots, my X7 or A-5.
But yea I wouldn't mind trying out the RT. Would it be allowed in the UWL if we do that though?

From what i read nope, R/T is not allowed. Class B: Used by Rangers Non electronic: A marker without any electronics, a battery or response trigger. Markers in this class may use any speed loader and of any size

From what I read the A5 RT is very nice. Much more so than the 98. Not sure about the X7

hmm, but if the A5 is more efficient on air then I might go with another a-5a2, unless i can find a nice x7. this is a really hard decision.
