This just in from APE online!

The long awaited Rampage board for the X7 is now shipping at a special introductory price for a VERY limited time OR while supplies last.  The Rampage board for the X7 is a direct Drop-In replacement for your existing E-Grip.  No need to turn your board on or off, just use the selector switch to select the firing mode and go play!  When you’re done for the day, just switch your selector to the safety position.  It’s that easy!

This board features:

State-of-the-art RISC MicrocontrollerWeather Resistant Conformal Coating protects your electronics in the Rain!

Extended Battery Life

Simple Push Button Selection to Change Firing Modes

Reprogrammable Selector Switch - Position 1 AND 2!

Visual LED Mode Indicator – Visible in Direct Sunlight!

8 Base Firing Modes

User Programmable Firing Mode Enabler – You decide what modes are enabled or disabled

Rate of Fire from 5 to 30bps!

Adjustable Dwell and Debounce

Programmable Burst Mode

Programmable Rampage Mode

Programmable Turbo+ Mode

Includes the Exclusive APE PowerShot Solenoid!

As far as I can tell you can only order the board from Ape's online store at the moment. It is running 74.95 right now on sale from 89.99 as a special introductory. I'm guessing the want to sell some to a few dedicated people first and make sure they don't have any bugs they didn't catch before they release them to the masses. After these are all sold I am guessing they will be updated if need be, and then released to your favorite online retailer...cough...rockstar...cough...

Hmmm, interesting. I would highly recommend these boards. I love the one in my Ion. I'm not sure i'll get one for my x7 though. I doubt I will, but very nice.

To get one for the X7 you have to buy the Egrip and then the Rampage board so you're looking at like 200 bucks. However the simple fact that you don't need a pointed object to turn the board on has sold it for me as that's why I hate my egrip. So as soon as Rockstar has them on the shelf I am gonna grab one.

hmmm. I guess that is true. I hated that part about the e-grip in my A-5. A possibility that I will get one now that I think about that.

In my opinion the stock egrip board sucks if you plan on an agrip for your x7 then an APE Board is a must! The instant on and dual programable modes are exactly what the stock one is missing to be any good. Plus the new board is APE so you know it's good!
