3 Piece and a Biscuit!

WWW
« on: July 17, 2008, 11:08:11 PM »

Ok, so Ive ran into a few problems fixing my G36 Ion. It had one leak from a large banjo fitting. Replaced the banjo..the leak stopped..and started another spot, my solinoid. So that means the board is shot. I replace the board..and another leak. This one seems minor I hope. Its one of the O-rings in the firing can. So it looks like i get to figure out how the heck to get those O-rings out...and back in.

Also looks like another purchase from big pun...*sigh* Dunno if this thing will be ready for Halo at this point.

Does anyone have spare Ion O-rings?

Looks as though there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. It might have just needed greased. I just did that and the leak stopped, but the leak from the QEV presists...new diganosis..bad qev...much easier to replace

PS, The gun will hold air now..with teh stock 1/8th banjo. So now I need a QEV and air..This sucks..no air to test..blah!

I'd let you use my air but I dont have enough. Only like 400-500 psi.Very very low. I have some O-Rings for the ion when I bought off of you if you need still.

Did you put t-tape one the QEV when you installed it? If I remember right you have the clippard one not the 360 QEV which I had nothing but trouble with mine when I had it. Try some t-tape and when you screw it on don't force it on to tight. when it starts to get tight when putting it on finish the turn and stop. I know when I had mine when I put it as far as it would go in it would leak, but if I left it out a little it was fine and the tape held it in place.

Or it could just use some lube on the oring it has now. Also try flipping the oring over. That sometimes helps.
