BAN PIZZA!!!

Humm didn't we go into the last mission only down only 5 points from the Preds? Which if that walk-on would not have takin that Face Hugger off the field with him it would of been all tied up....I thought I heard Cuda say we got 15 points on the last mission right before he got grenaded out. Or did the guy grab the complete wrong thing and give us -15 points instead of a ghoose egg? (+15 for our item and -15 for the wrong one) If that be the case, if we wouldn't have had -20 points( 15 from last mission and 5 from face hugger), it would have been a tie game? I could be completly wrong here as this is the first time I put any thought into how the game turned out. Did the Preds get a full 30 points on the last mission? That would also explain my lack of understanding...Anyway it turns our I still had a blast and that's all that matters. At the end of the day I could care less if it was win or lose...all I care about is that we all had fun and we hopefully converted a few new people into some paintball junkies!

I may be wrong, but I believe it was Humans 85, Aliens 100, Preds 100 going into the final mission.  The guy on the Aliens ran out of the woods, got shot in the chest (ref watched it and confirmed), grabbed both props and ran off.  Ref chased him down, the guy still had the mark on his chest, but he had handed the face hugger off.  Ref brought the Pred cannon back.  So not only did he cheat (which is why we couldn't give you points for the facehugger), he grabbed the other team's prop, -15.  If you guys had held the chopper, you could have won, I think.  I'm not 100% sure on the Pred score going into the final mission.

Ahh I didn't know anything about the guy cheating..........all I heard was Cuda say we got 15 points as we were heading off the field and when I just now started thinking about the score I was like humm I wonder how we dropped points after that mission. I thought we goose egged and then I started doing the what ifs....what if we got the full face hugger score in mission 5 (we could have easily had that)....what if he didn't take the Cannon....what if we split into groups and pushed up 2 mins sooner...Anyways I am glad a Ref was there to see what really happened. I would have hated winning because someone cheated to do it...

Ohh and VDawg the cheating person in question was on the Aliens team with us but not on FEAR. We don't much like cheaters round these parts....Although I am going to have to get over myself if you all keep having the Chick Ref out on the field or people may start calling me a cheater.... I got sandwhiched twice at AVP and took a hit in the backside area. Well me having the beliefs that I do didn't feel to comfortable with having her rubbing all up on my backside if you know what I mean. So when I went to respawn I told her I already cleaned my hit, but since it was on my butt and I couldn't see it to well I just smeared it around a bit. No one ever said anything to me about it so I guess I did a good enough job cleaning it off, but I don't want to end up getting pulled out of a game because of something like that...

You have to think of her as a REF not a girl....Just like you would at work.  It’s illegal to treat women different than Men, so I say the same goes in paintball.  However, I don’t want a dude wiping off my backside either, so I guess I see your point on this one.

Yea, I have the final poster hanging on my cieling and it reads that we were down 5 or 10 pts in the end because of the whole deduction. So wewould have won by 5 or 10 pts.

No I don't think there was any chance we could of won even if we didn't get any -points. Tied is a for sure possiability but not a win. IF we had about 2 more mins tops we would of taken that chopper and got our hugger, but by that time GKG already did their damage and got the points they needed to keep ahead. If we played that mission out perfect I think the best we could of done was a tie. On a better note we all had a blast and that's what really matters!

Guys, here...I have the OFFICIAL scoresheet to put this to bed. We were all wrong, actually...but the ONE thing that was correct was my original statement that the Preds would've won regardless of what the Humans and Aliens did...I was just wrong about the MARGIN of that win. Smiley Below, "H" is Humans, "A" is Aliens, and "P" is...you guessed it...Preds. Smiley

Mission 1: H (15); A (0); P (5)

Mission 2: H (25); A (20); P (15)

Mission 3: H (35); A (40); P (35)

Mission 4: H (35); A (40); P (65) - first mission Preds took lead and never lost it...THIS was the deciding mission of the day

Mission 5: H (60); A (60); P (75)

Mission 6: H (75); A (70); P (90)

Mission 7: H (85); A (100); P (105) - The Aliens had a chance to win, yes, but...

Mission 8: H (85); A (85) -15 from infraction; P (120) - The Aliens would ONLY have scored 115 if the 15 point infraction wouldn't have taken place. The Preds only scored 15 points, so at the very best the Aliens would've lost by 5 points or, if the Preds wouldn't have scored at all, won by 10 points. The Humans, as you can see, really had no chance to win, but ended up tying the Aliens because of their infraction.

Just to put this out there I don't think my guys are saying there was a mistake in the score cards or anything. We just knew we gave up 5 easy points in mission 5 when a walk-on took a face hugger off the field with him (those 5 points could of made a world of difference), and I think most of our confusion came when we heard we got our hugger out of the chopper in mission 8. We never heard anything of the guy playing on and the ref bringing it back to the chopper until this discussion. Usually at the end of the day the team is busy trying to get packed up and ready for the long journey home as quick as possiable and miss most of the final score discussion. In this instance being distracted bit us in the butt. The team is just bummed because they played hard and it came down to the end and because of a few stupid mistakes by people outside our control we didn't do better than we did. Although I still wish I knew who the turd in mission 5 that took the face hugger off the field was.

No matter how you look at it GKG played hard and they deserved the win. So on that note let's let this discussion end!

There were bonuses in M8 so Humans could have won. Wink  It was literally "Anyone's game".

END THREAD.
