TD4 - September 21st - Fox Paintball, Millington, Illinois
Ive heard rumors that team FEAR might attend this event

Are they true?

Seems like your traveling a long way to play this event.  We expect more than 400 players.  There are 6 tanks registered already and many quality scenario teams.  You would most certainly be welcome.

Regards,

Sauerkraut

Yeap.  I thought that might be the case as well.   Grin  The invite stands.  IF you are willing to make the trip I can guarantee a good time.  Next to Oklahoma DDay, I look forward to this event all year long.

Yea, I am guessing it is another Team FEAR. I know there is atleast one more.
The game does look awesome though and I would love to go to it. I have always been a big fan of Grendel and all of the Hellions for that matter. To run along side you all would be an honor, but the short time before the game and the traveling distance will be tough for us I am afraid. In the future we will have to try and schedule something with you all for sure though!

We are discussing going to Waynes World in December for the Final Battle.  On behalf of Grendel and the Hellions, thank you for the compliment.  Drop on in to our http://www.hellions.net/warzone Im sure Grendel would like to hear from you.  Hopefully we will meet up in December.  Have you played Oklahoma DDay yet?  Lets talk   Grin

TD4 was better than expected.  There were 657 players and the event was top notch.  Of course, my beloved SEAL team won (yes, thats 3 years in a row).

Illinois be a bit of a road trip, but there is a lot of great paintball to be played here.  We have players coming from the Knoxville area, a team from Kansas, players from Texas and Oklahoma as well.

Lets sling some paint.

Sounds cool, I may have to bring my crew out next year if you're doing it again.  I know this year we're doing Castle but next might work.  Maybe we could do a carpool with you FEAR guys too.

Given some interest, let me tell you a bit about the event.

Fox paintball is a 14 acre field that is adjacent to the fox River (generally the river is out of bounds).  The majority of the field is wooded, but there is a small village, a big honking hill (I hate the hill) and many outposts and other features scattered about.  700 players makes this an in your face event.  You dont have to travel far to find a fight.  However, the event is mission based so kill counts are not priority.

Were not talking your run of the mill, get this find that go there missions.  They require some thought, some detective work, some creativity and are often mutli-faceted.  So they run more like, find this area, locate the hidden stuff, decode the message to find out where the rest of the stuff is, assemble the object and take it to location x.  To make it challenging there are multiple tanks, 2 mercenary teams (in addition to teh rangers and SEALs) and the producer always throws in some twists to the plot.

At mid-day we break for some lunch and one of the events highlights, the Gauntlet.  We open 3 speedball fields and cram everyone in for 30 minutes of chaos.  The objective last year was to collect kick balls and run them to barrels on the 50.  Its insane.  This is followed by the general vs general pistol duel then afternoon missions commence.

\Hell I can talk all day or you can watch this:
