The ion is smother but the resale is junk on it. I think tge ion has the better trigger aswell. And it is quieter. They are both decent guns and a good value for the money. You might want to look at a used pmr aswell. Iv seen them for around 200. On thing to consider is tgat proto is still in business but smartparts is not. If you get an ion I would defiantly take a look at some used ones. You can get some good deals. I might even sell you mine. Pm me if you want details.

I agree with everything Hudd said, but take note that I believe Smart Parts is still servicing guns at one of their locations.  Just figured I would throw that out there in case that was your limiting factor.

I have shot a fully upgraded ion  , smooth , but  i have an slg and stock board is just as fast as an upgraded ion. accuracy is the same.

Both are great guns for the price. People will always put you down for using an ION though just FYI. MY old ION shot just as good as my DM7 though. I actually miss it a lot, it was nasty.

Nice. SLG's are good markers. Definitely worth the cash..especially if your getting the players pack!

FYI Caboose is interested in joining the team. I told him to run with us a WWIII for tryouts. He said ok.
